Jake Paul might lose his boxing ranking due to backlash from fellow boxers. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the WBA had ranked Paul #14 in their new boxing rankings after he defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. via unanimous decision.

Paul would later thank the WBA and its President, Gilberto Mendoza, for the ranking.
“Shoutout to the WBA and Gilberto for being disruptors and not being afraid to recognize me. Seeing all these lists with current champion Badou Jack. Give me him next.”
The WBA is now reviewing Paul’s ranking after receiving backlash from boxers, according to a report from Ring magazine.
Due to heavy criticism and outrage from other ranked contenders, the WBA will review Jake Paul’s cruiserweight ranking at their upcoming European convention in Madrid – which takes place from July 15-18.

Paul’s MVP promotions released a statement on social media amid the WBA’s planned review of Paul’s ranking.
“Can’t say we are surprised. But no matter what, he will not be stopped. Fall down 10 times, get back up every single time. Expect them to hate what they can’t control.”
