Isabelle 'Belle-A' Walker Reacts to Cierra Ortega's 'Love Island USA' Exit Following Resurface

Belle-A Walker is calling out Cierra Ortega for her resurfaced racist comments.

During the Sunday (July 6) episode of Love Island USA, Cierra abruptly left the villa due to a “personal situation.” Her departure from the show comes shortly after numerous instances of her using a racial slur against Asian people resurfaced online.

Now, season 7 co-star Belle-A is speaking out about the controversy.

Belle-A shared a statement on her Instagram story the same day that Cierra was removed from the show.

In the statement, Belle-A writes in part: “As a proud Asian American woman, I’m deeply appreciative of the Love Island USA producers for taking a stand and making it clear that racism of any kind is not tolerated. When I first saw what my fellow Islander said on their social media pages, I was incredibly heartbroken. But I wanted to wait until they left the villa and were able to address the situation, genuinely apologize, and commit to learning from the experience before deciding how our relationship would look moving forward.”

She continued and said that she was no longer interested in a friendship with Cierra due to her comments. Belle-A‘s statement continues, “As screenshots continued to surface, it became clear that I could no longer support this person, and made the decision to unfollow them a couple of days ago.”

Belle-A ended her statement by requesting that people not send hate or harassment toward Cierra, echoing a similar request made by Cierra‘s parents.

If you missed it, Belle-A recently explained the story behind her name.
