Former NFL sideline reporter Michelle Tafoya found herself in a bit of strange situation if her own making on Tuesday. Tafoya, who stepped away from her role in NBC Sports in 2022 to begin a job in conservative politics, seemingly fabricated an introduction with a flight attendant praising her work.

Tafoya posted a picture of note that she claimed was handed to her by the flight attendant. The note praised Tafoya’s podcast brings “a little light in what seems a dark world.” But there was a catch.

X user @TheWapplehouse pointed out that Tafoya posted the exact same picture with a different caption urging people to subscribe to her podcast two years ago.

“Michelle, how many times is this exact same flight attendant gonna hand you this exact same note?” the person asked.

The top part of the note was cut off in both pictures. But the visible portion reads “If there’s anything we can do to make your flight more comfortable, please let one of us know!

“On a personal note, I want to thank you for the work you do. I always enjoyed your work with the NFL, but listening to your podcast is wonderful too. Your voice of reason is (?) brings me a little hope in what seems like a dark world. Again, thank you!”

Now, who knows? Maybe Michelle Tafoya just randomly ran into one of the five people on the planet who would recognize Michelle Tafoya on an airplane. It could happen! But the fact that Tafoya posted the photo yet again led many to believe that she was actually the one who wrote the note in the first place.

Tafoya never responded to the question about posting the note multiple times. So either she’s choosing not to acknowledge it or doesn’t have a viable answer. Either way, it’s not exactly the best look.
