Florida State Seminoles quarterback Thomas Castellanos made headlines this week with a quote that went viral about his week one opponent, the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Despite the Seminoles having a 2-10 record last year, Castellanos — a transfer from Boston College — said that he does not see Alabama being able to stop him, and that Nick Saban is not there to “save” the Crimson Tide.

A different opponent on the schedule this year, one who actually played Alabama last season, has a very different opinion.

South Carolina star quarterback LaNorris Sellers was asked during a recent interview with Zach Gelb about Alabama, and he had nothing but praise to offer.

“Shoot…Alabama is still Alabama to me,” Sellers said. “They were good last year. They’re a good team. They’re big, strong, and fast. That’s how I remember watching them growing up. I don’t really think they’ve changed much. That’s still SEC ball. That’s still Alabama.”

Sellers came within a hair of leading his team to a victory over the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, falling by a score of 27-25.

This year, Alabama heads to South Carolina for a road game, in one of the more underrated tests on their entire schedule.

Alabama and South Carolina will face off on October 25 at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia.
